What does the trip calendar show?
It lists every upcoming public departure across Wandering Yaks journeys — start and end dates, region, style, seat status, and price — pulled from the same inventory used on each trip page.
How often is availability updated?
Departure inventory is loaded live from our booking system. Prices, seats left, and guaranteed status update as soon as dates are published or changed.
What is a guaranteed departure?
A guaranteed departure is confirmed to run with the published start date, so you can book transport and leave days with confidence. Non-guaranteed dates still accept bookings and typically confirm once minimum group size is met.
Can I book a private or custom date?
Yes. Public dates suit small-group travelers; private groups can request alternate start dates via Plan your trip or Contact. Hosts in Hunza and across Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral can often tailor routes and seasons.
Which months are best for northern Pakistan trips?
High-altitude treks and Karakoram routes peak roughly June–September. Cultural and lower-elevation journeys can run earlier in spring or later into autumn. Use the month chips on this page to filter what is actually open.
Do I need a letter of invitation for Pakistan?
Many nationalities need a tourist visa or e-visa, and some processes ask for a host letter of invitation (LOI). Wandering Yaks can issue an automated LOI from Gilgit — start at Letter of Invitation if you need one with your trip booking.
