Tucked away in the far northwest of Pakistan, where the Hindukush mountains rise in jagged waves along the Afghan border, lies one of the last truly untouched corners of South Asia. You'll spend three unhurried days living alongside the Kalash community across Bumburat and Rumbur, then shift into Central Chitral with Chitral Fort, Gol National Park, and Qaqlasht Meadows — one of the highest polo grounds in the world. This is not a rushed checklist tour; it's built for small groups who want depth over distance.

Day 1
Arrival in Islamabad

Islamabad

Arrive in Islamabad and settle in before the long road into the Hindukush begins. Evening briefing with the team on the route ahead through Chitral and the Kalash valleys.

Day 2
Islamabad → Chitral (overland via Lowari Tunnel)

Chitral

Drive north into the mountains through the Lowari Tunnel — the passage that finally gave Chitral a year-round link to the rest of Pakistan. Emerge into the Chitral valley with the Hindukush rising ahead.

Day 3
Chitral → Ayun → Bumburat Valley (Kalash)

Bumburat

Drive through Ayun, the gateway to Kalash territory, and climb into Bumburat — wooden houses stacked up the hillside and the first sight of Kalash women in their distinctive dress mark the shift into a genuinely different world.

Day 4
Bumburat Valley — Full Day (Kalash)

Bumburat

A full day in Bumburat at an unhurried pace — walking between hamlets, visiting a traditional Kalash graveyard with carved wooden effigies, and sharing a home-cooked meal with a host family in the evening.

Day 5
Bumburat → Rumbur Valley → Ayun

Cross into Rumbur, quieter and less visited than Bumburat. Walk through the village, see a Bashaleni — the traditional Kalash women's house — and spend time with elders willing to talk about sacred groves and ancestral customs.

Day 6
Ayun → Chitral (Central Chitral) → Chitral Fort

Drive back down from the Kalash valleys to Central Chitral. Time to explore the old town and settle into the rhythm of frontier life along the Chitral River.

Day 7
Chitral → Gol National Park → Chitral

Chitral

Wildlife excursion into Chitral Gol National Park, home to the elusive snow leopard and markhor, Pakistan's national animal. Return to Chitral in the afternoon.

Day 8
Chitral → Peshawer (overland via Lowari Tunnel)

Peshawer

Long drive south through the Lowari Tunnel to Peshawar, retracing the route through the Hindukus.h foothills, Rest day in Peshawar

Day 9
Peshawer City exploration day → namak mandi → Kissa khwani bazaar

Peshawar

Exploring the old city bazaars, the famous Qissa Khwani Bazaar, Sethi Mohalla, through the Kabuli Gate, visiting Peshawar Museum, knowing the 2600-year-old city

Day 10
Peshawar → Islamabad

Short 2 hour trip to islamabad, after lunch we will be visiting the faisal mosque, pakistan monument and lok virsa museam, we will have our final dinner at kabuli restaurant

Day 11
Departure from Islamabad

Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the airport for international departure.
