  Khunjerab Pass — border operational for 2026 summer

  The Pakistan–China border at Khunjerab (4693 m) is open for photo visits through 15 November. Chinese-side crossing for third-country nationals is closed until further notice.

  Zanskar road — expect delays through July

  Ongoing road-widening between Kargil and Padum is causing 2–3 hour delays. We’ve rescheduled the mid-July Ladakh & Zanskar departure to allow buffer time.

  Wakhan Corridor — permit lead time increased

  Permit approvals from the Afghan foreign ministry are running six weeks rather than the usual four. We’ve extended our booking cut-off to 8 weeks pre-departure for Wakhan journeys.
