Retired monk, apricot farmer, and gentlest breakfast host in Ladakh.

Tsering was a novice at Thiksey Monastery for eleven years before returning to his family's smallholding. He grows apricots and barley, keeps a copy of every book Rinpoche ever recommended to him, and serves the best butter-tea for a hundred kilometres. His guest room looks straight at the monastery.
